Johnstown, Cambria County--- A roof caved in on an abandoned building in Johnstown.
It happened in the 700 block of Somerset Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Johnstown City Assistant Fire Chief Bob Statler said the vacant building was suppose to be torn down sometime this Spring because of damages it sustained from a fire last year. The building has been empty ever since.
“The owner of the building has a contractor that will take the remainder of the building down,” said Statler.
Statler said he thinks harsh weather conditions from the past winter played a role in the roof collapse.
