HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA  --  Governor Ed Rendell's request to toll Interstate-80 remains in limbo.

A spokesperson with the governor's office said Rendell expects federal officials to return with a yes or no answer within the next couple of weeks.

Rendell met with U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood in Washington to push for tolling I-80 and answer questions relating to the plan.

About $470-million in spending next year depends on whether the Federal Highway Administration gives the go-ahead to move forward with tolling plans.
