BROOKVILLE, JEFFERSON COUNTY - The construction of a new water plant in Jefferson County is uncovering some history.

Remnants of a 19th century village are being found along the North Fork Creek near Brookville.

Building foundations and wagon trails have been found in the area.

An excavation is being proposed to find out more about this lost village.
