Job Creation Program

Their plan is to pay employers and non-profits to hire temporary workers. Adults could get a 9 month contracted job that pays $10 an hour for up to 30 hours a week. Juveniles could get a 6 week summer position that pays $9 an hour.
The program would be funded by a tax on smokeless tobacco and federal stimulus money.
After the federal grants run out in 2 years, democrats estimate $80 million a year from the smokeless tobacco tax would fund the job creation program.
