County Officials Make Plans for Building Renovation

By: Barb Consiglio
Updated: March 23, 2010

CLEARFIELD---Clearfield County will be consolodating their government offices downtown, but first some major renovations are needed at the former Gray Battery building.

The Commissioners accepted dozens of bids from contractors today for everything from electrical work to elevator installation. They say the building is basically a concrete shell that they will build offices in, so there is a lot of work to be done.

Officials hope to have the work done by the fall. Once everyone is moved in, judges offices will be in the courthouse, other court-related offices will be in the courthouse annex, and all administrative offices will be in the renovated Gray Battery building.
