ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY--- In the past 28 days most of us have scene a variety of weather patterns.  December started out with snow and freezing temperatures then turned into heavy rains with flooding but it’s coming to a close with some warmer temperatures.

Sunday’s warmer temperatures brought a number of people outside and they didn’t seem to mind the April like weather.

“I don’t mind at all, it’s nice,” said Daniel Moser.

Shannon Forney, Mallory Adams, and Amanda Schmitt enjoyed not just one walk outside but two, soaking up as much nice weather as they could.

"I love it. It’s so nice out it’s our second walk of the day. So we love it," said Mallory Adams.

December has gone from freezing temperatures to now warm temperatures.  Is this extreme weather normal in December?

"Usually when you’re in a weather pattern of extremes, you usually will have wild swings.  It’s pretty typical to go from a cold stretch of weather and have shallow arctic air with a lot of sleet and freezing rain, once that pattern breaks you have a pretty good warm up.  So that's pretty typical during a month of December," said WTAJ TV Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo.

It seems people aren't missing the cold weather and definitely don't mind the warm weather, despite Sunday’s high winds. In fact most of them are hoping the warm weather is here to stay.

Except there are some people who do miss the snow, especially around this time of year.

“I miss the snow,” said Madison Moser.

Sunday’s warm weather isn’t here to stay.  It was more of a tease because winter is just getting started.
