The arrests are the result of a coordinated investigation involving the Pennsylvania State Police, Federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Agents and the Baltimore City Police.
Early yesterday there was a burglary of the Saxton Outdoor and Supply Store. A car was used to smash in the front of the store and a substantial number of handguns were taken.
Police in Baltimore located the car that was used to smash into the business in Baltimore early on Tuesday day and gave chase. When that car crashed, two men were taken into custody and more than two dozen stolen guns were recovered.
Baltimore City Police say illegal guns are a big problem in that city. The two men taken into police custody in Baltimore have been identified as Michael Joshua Faircloth and Garrett Sherlock. Both are 25 years old and are from Saxton in Bedford County. Both were injured in the car crash that lead to their capture. They both now face a long list of federal gun charges.
