Scout Discuss Gay Member Ban

ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - The Boy Scouts of America is talking about changing its stance on gay members.

Spokesman Deron Smith made the announcement Monday. Smith said the scouting organization is talking about removing the national policy that prevents gay scouts and leaders from being a part of the organization. The proposal would leave membership policies up to the individual chapters.

Groups like GLAAD and Change.org are already calling it a step in the right direction.

Just six months ago the Boy Scouts of America re-affirmed their policies restricting membership.

I am not sure why homosexuals want to infiltrate a club and change the clubs long time traditions. Why cant the homosexuals create a club that is more in-line with their beliefs?
