Updated: Friday evening, January 18th
Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

Temperatures stayed cool today and some milder air will be moving in this evening and during the overnight hours. Clouds will be sparse, so temperatures will be hovering in the teens and low 20s to start Saturday.

Wind will be strong at times Saturday and temperatures will climb into the mid 30s to around 40. There is a concern of the warmer air running over the ridges and not coming into the valleys, but Saturday will still be the warmer day.

A cold front will move through Sunday, taking temperatures back into the 20s and 30s with some snow showers late.

Colder air will be taking hold for the first half of the week. High temperatures will be in the 20s and teens with low temperatures falling into the single digits in a few locations.

Warmer air will start moving in Thursday and Friday ahead of another system that will bring rain or snow to the region.
