Bedford Man on Rape Charges

NAPIER TOWNSHIP, BEDFORD COUNTY - A Bedford county man has been arrested on rape charges for an incident that happened 10 years ago.

61 year old Gary Weyant of New Paris, was arrested earlier today.

The incident happened between 2003 and 2004 at a residence in Napier Township.

The victim who is now 17 years old first reported the case to police in March last year.

Weyant was arraigned on Friday and had bail set at $150,000. Weyant remains in Bedford county prison.
