WASHINGTON, DC - President Obama held a news conference at 12:00 pm Wednesday announcing Vice President Joe Biden will lead the charge in tackling gun violence.

The decision comes just a few days after 20 children and 6 adults were killed by Adam Lanza in Newtown, Connecticut.  Lanza then killed himself.

Officials said a Bushmaster AR 15 was the primary weapon used in the shootings.
