Updated Wednesday Morning December 12th
Reported by Meteorologist Regina Miller

Today will start off with some areas seeing clouds initially, but skies will become partly to mostly sunny for this afternoon.  Highs will be around the seasonal average high making it into the upper 30s to near 40.

Tonight will be mainly clear.  With calm winds, temperatures will drop into the low to mid 20s.  Some of the outlying colder spots may even drop into the upper teens.

Tomorrow will feature wall to wall sunshine with an area of high pressure over Pennsylvania.  Highs will get slightly milder thanks to that sunshine.  We will be in the low to mid 40s.

On Friday we will still have mostly sunny skies.  The high pressure will slide to our southeast a bit, allowing a milder southwesterly windflow into the region.  Highs will get into the upper 40s to near 50.

Saturday will be sunny to start, but we may see some increasing clouds spilling in by late in the day ahead of the next system.  It will top out in the mid 40s.

Showers move in by Saturday night & Sunday. Depending on how cold it gets, the rain may start as freezing rain in a few spots Saturday night and then could mix with snow in the higher elevations on Sunday, but again, it will primarily be a rain maker.

Behind that system, Monday will be brisk and chilly with scattered flurries and snow showers. More unsettled weather looks likely as we head through the middle of next week but we'll have a better feel as time gets closer.
