Clouds will break for sun during the afternoon and temperatures could reach break the record high for this date. The record high temp on this date is 64. Showers will make another appearance this evening as temperatures fall into the mid and upper 40s.
Tuesday will be the transition day, with a system moving in during the evening and overnight hours. Clouds will increase during the day, but the winds will get strong at times as well. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s, pushing records in a few places. The record high in Altoona for Tuesday is 67. It's unlikely we'll get that warm, but we will get close.
Wednesday will be much cooler, with highs in the mid to upper 40s and showers coming to an end. Right now it looks like the cooler air will move in and leave us with temperatures decreasing during the afternoon.
Thursday looks calm with a sun and cloud mix, and models have another system tracking for Pennsylvania for the weekend. Temperatures going into the weekend will be much closer to seasonal averages than the first part of the week and rain returning.
