Two Sexual Assaults Reported on Penn State Campus

UNIVERSITY PARK, PENN STATE - Penn State Campus Police say two incidents of sexual assault/rape were reported on the University Park campus this weekend.

Police say the first alleged attack happened in the university's Pollock/South Residence Hall Area between 11 PM Thursday and 5 AM Friday.

Pollock/South Residence Halls are located on the south portion of campus.

The second incident was reported in a residence hall on the west side of campus between about 2 and 3:30 AM Saturday.

In both cases, the victims reported knowing the suspect.

Police are reminding the University community not to walk alone, instead to call for a free security escort. Report any suspicious behavior to University Police immediately and if you feel you are in an unsafe environment, get to a safe place immediately and call for help.

Campus police are continuing to investigate the sexual assaults. Anyone with information is asked to contact University Police at 814-863-1111.
