Serial Bank Robber on the Run

LEWISTOWN, MIFFLIN COUNTY -- State Police hope to catch a serial bank robber.  Since October 22nd, police believe he has stolen a car, robbed three banks and attempted to rob another.

Two of the robberies were in Juniata County, one was in Snyder and there was an attempted robbery in Snyder County.

Police said he was traveling in a white Ford Escort stolen from Lewistown, but that car has since been recovered.

Here's a list of the incidents:

First National Bank Thompsontown, PA  (Juniata County) occurred 10/22/12 at 3:36 P.M.

Juniata Valley Bank, Port Royal, PA  (Juniata County) occurred 10/27/12 at 08:36 A.M

Swineford National Bank, Beaver Springs, PA (Snyder County) occurred 11/05/12

Mifflin County Savings Bank, McClure, PA (Snyder County) occurred 11/05/12 (attempted robbery)

The suspect is a thin white, male approx. 5 feet 9 in to 6 foot in height.  The subject did not display a weapon or threaten bank staff.  Call State Police in Lewistown with information.  717-320-1010
