The Physics Professor is considered one of the nation's leaders in trying to make time travel a reality. Paula Foreman with the school's Alumni Relations says the kids seeing the distinguished Almuni, was an eye opener.

"We had one student say had made the comment I didn't know that you could graduate from Altoona High School and become famous you know so its just  gives them real world experience and live experience to see that someone actually that graduated from Altoona and what our alumni talked to them about is how they go to where they are."

The film maker Spike Lee recently bought the filming rights to Doctor Mallets book.
