JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- The body of a white male was discovered in an alley off of Railroad Street Thursday morning.

City police were called to the scene just before ten in the morning.  Officials tell WTAJ News they believe the body had been there for at least a few days.  City and County Detectives along with the County Coroner's office are handling the investigation.

Residents who live in the area said they were shocked when they heard the news.

"It is upsetting," said Laura Reid.  "There are people out there who could hurt your kids and now a dead body."

The body was discovered in the same neighborhood just around the coroner from where two boys were nearly abducted a week before.

"It is scary as a parent," said Reid.

One neighbor who didn't want to give his name said what alarmed him was the fact that the body was there for a few days before someone noticed.

"It is sad, as neighbors we don't look out for one another like we should- makes me think no one cares."

An autopsy was set for Thursday afternoon.  The victims name and cause of death have not been released.  The deputy coroner said he believes the death is suspicious.
