BRADFORD TOWNSHIP, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - Around 10:00 on Tuesday morning along Shawville Highway in Bradford Township near Doe Hill Road State Police Clearfield say they were called to the scene of a tractor trailer crash. As crews arrived they found two trailers stuck together.
Witnesses say the driver of a Clarion Fruit Company Truck blacked out and hit into the tractor trailer in front of him. The two became connected.
The driver had to be cut out of the truck and had neck and back pain. The other driver was not hurt, but went to the hospital as a precaution.
For over an hour crews worked to clean up the road and separate the two trucks. They were finally driven away from the scene, still attached, and were later able to be taken apart.
The Clarion Fruit Company Truck was completely smashed in while the other truck, belonging to Sanfrey Freight Services Inc., was barely damaged.
PennDot worked to clean oil off of the slick roadways and both lanes of Shawville Highway were opened around 12:00pm.
There is no word on if any charges will be filed.
