CRESSON TOWNSHIP, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Cresson Township Police have teamed up with Cambria County Crime Stoppers for the first time after several homes have been burglarized.  Together the two are hoping that a cash reward will help catch those responsible.

'This is when the community needs to come together," said Cresson Township Police Chief Chris Sweet. "If you see something suspicious- call police."

Several homes have been burglarized throughout the month of March; Sweet said it's mostly cash and jewelry.

'We're going to local jewelry stores to see if anyone has noticed anything, especially since one of the stolen items is a class ring from the late 30's early 40's."

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 to anyone with information leading to an arrest.

"Someone always knows something and money anomalously is a good way to reach out to the public," said Senator John Wozniak.
