Judge Must Now Rule in Nurses vs. Nursing Home Fight

EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY - Testimony in the court battle between a nurses union and the owners of a nursing home could wrap up Friday afternoon.

The hearings began Wednesday at the Cambria County Courthouse.

Nurses at Cambria Care filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board against Grane Healthcare. They said the privately-owned company won't recognize their union.

Grane took over the Laurel Crest facility from the county at the beginning of the year.

No word on how long the judge will take to issue a ruling after the hearing ends.
