ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Pennsylvania deer hunters are coming up empty handed when it comes to permits.

County Treasurers will start accepting doe tag applications Monday, which was moved up slightly this year. And Friday a rush to get those tags crashed the state online system.

Tim Baker at Unkle Joe's Woodshed in Altoona says the problems started around 11:00 in the morning, and then the whole system went down.
A company out of Tennessee processes all the requests. Baker thinks they might not have been ready for the early rush.

They had to turn away about a hundred people looking for tags.
