Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Pickup Truck

ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - A pickup truck struck and killed a pedestrian Friday morning.

The collision happened just before 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of 17th Street and 9th Avenue. That's across from Boyer Candy Plant in Altoona.

The coroner is on scene. The damage to the truck is to the passenger side windshield.

The driver's condition is unknown at this time. The names of the people involved haven't been released yet.
