Starting this week, dog wardens from 13 counties will be out looking for unlicensed and unvaccinated dogs.  They'll be in Blair County this week, Huntingdon County next week and Centre County the week of July 5th.

An unlicensed dog will cost you between $50 and $300, while the fine for an unvaccinated dog ranges from $0 to $300.

Dog Warden Supervisor Harold Walstrom says that licenses will only cost between $4 and $8 and will save you from being fined up to $300 for having an unlicensed dog.  He also says that getting a license for your dog is the best way to get your dog back if it ever gets lost.
