WANTED: Theft Suspect

CLEARFIELD, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - The Clearfield County District Attorney's Office is looking for a theft suspect.

Corey Burke, 22, of Mt. Pleasant Rd., Penfield, is wanted for failure to appear at Arraignment Court on April 14, 2010.

On November 20, 2009, police responded to the Game Stop in the DuBois Mall, after a man reported that some of his stolen items were being sold in the store.

Police said that Burke stole a Play Station, video games, and DVDs from the man's home on the morning of November, 20, 2009.  Burke then allegedly, brought the items to Game Stop and sold them for $919.33.  

Police talked to an employee who said that the stolen items had been exchanged that day.  The employee provided police with the photo ID of the man that exchanged those items.

On February 25, 2010, Burke was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Receiving Stolen Property.

A preliminary hearing was held on March 26, 2010, and charged were bound over to trial.

Burke failed to appear for Arraignment Court on April 15, 2010, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police describe Burke as follows:

  • White
  • Male
  • 6'1"
  • 220 lbs.
  • Brown eyes
  • Red Hair

Tippers are eligible to receive a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
