COLVER, CAMBRIA COUNTY---Police arrested a woman for allegedly filing a false report claiming to be robbed at gunpoint.? Police said that Brenda Kline of Colver, was arraigned Monday morning.? On June 8th she called 911 and told police she had just been robbed at gunpoint by four men in masks.? She told police they stole her prescription medications and $4,000 in cash.

After a week long investigation and several interviews police determined there were facts missing from Kline’s story and things just didn’t add up.? Officer In Charge Nathan Stohon with the Cambria Township Police said that they called Kline in for an interview Thursday afternoon.? After a few questions police said she confessed that she made the whole story up and signed a confession statement.? Kline on Monday at her arraignment said she was forced into singing a confession.? She also said she was still robbed but it actually happened inside her home, not the garage and she lied because the robbers told her too.

"We interviewed suspects that Ms. Kline claimed robbed her, they all had creditable alibis.? Her story also kept changing," said Stohon.

"I am 48-years old, I’m not going to lie about something like this," said Kline.

Kline is out on $5,000 unsecured bond.?
