HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - Mothers helping mothers - in need is the goal behind a campaign underway in Blair County.

Members of the non-profit group called "Mothers and More"  are collecting new or gently used purses for mothers in need.  There are boxes around town, including one at the Hollidaysburg Area Library for you to drop your donation.    The purse, Mothers and More say, is a symbol of a woman's financial independence over her life and her kid's life.

Member Emily Baron says, "It just gives them the feeling that I can do this, something that will push them to do - say I can do this. This purse can remind me that I can take care of my kids."

Head here for for link to Mothers and More's website.  At the end of this month, Moms will be presenting the purses to the Family Resource Center.
