JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Two students in Cambria County were awarded cash prizes Thursday by Concurrent Technologies Corporation.

Josh Livingston and Taylor Freeman won the “Great Americans Day” essay contest.
The contest is sponsored by the CTC Foundation.
The two students wrote an essay about Alexander Hamilton and what made him “great.”

“He took America from being bankrupt to prosperity in only a decade,” said first place winner Livingston.

“His leadership didn’t always follow what people wanted but he still followed through in his beliefs,” said second place winner Freeman.

The CTC Foundation started the program back in 1998.
