Charges Dismissed Against Kettle Inn Shooter

HOLLIDAYSBURG - District Judge Jeffrey Auker dismissed all criminal charges against 38 year old Alvin Zimmerman for a February bar shooting.  
 
Zimmerman claimed he shot Thomas Vaughn in self-defense after Vaughn was coming after him.  
 
The prosecution maintained Zimmerman had the means to retreat but didn't, therefore deadly force was not justified.  The shooting happened in February outside the Kettle Inn in Altoona.
 
Charges against Zimmerman's co-defendant were also dismissed.
