Red Cross Hopes Carnival Will Help With Tough Year

DUBOIS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY---The 5th Annual American Red Cross Bash of Summer Carnival kicked-off today.

Organizers at the DuBois Chapter of the Red Cross say this is their biggest carnival yet, and it’s also their biggest fundraiser of the year.

A lot of families in their community needed their help this past year, and the chapter far exceeded their disaster budget. So they’re hoping community members will come have some fun and show their support.

“Last year we had numerous fires and we spent a lot of money helping people,” said board member of the DuBois chapter, Greg Donahue, “And every penny that’s spent here that we get stays in out community to help with disasters.”

Visitors can enjoy games, prizes, rides, and all that great carnival food. The carnival runs Wednesday through Saturday at DuBois City Park.
