Man in Critical Condition after Hitting Truck

BRUSH VALLEY, INDIANA COUNTY - A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after smashing into a truck.

State Police in Indiana say Russell Sichak of Johnstown was traveling on Rt. 56 Monday afternoon. He crossed the centerline and ran into a fuel truck. His car rolled several times before coming to a rest.

Sichak was flown to Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown with serious injuries. He was reporting in critical condition Tuesday morning.

The driver of the truck, Roland Shepherd of Dayton, Pennsylvania was taken to Indiana Hospital with only minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Sichak was charged with careless driving.
