JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY - Mark Critz went right to work after being sworn-in by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Thursday. Critz won the special election on Tuesday over Republican Tim Burns. He will serve the remainder of the late congressman Murtha’s term. But Critz will face burns again in the November General Election.

The question many constituents have now is; will Critz bring jobs back to the 12th? Congressman Murtha was known for bringing jobs and particularly defense contract jobs to Johnstown.

Michelle Eutin says she voted for home because of his connection with the late Congressman. Eutin watching her daughter play in the park above the inclined plane in Johnstown.

She says when she lived in Pittsburgh. They did a lot to encourage business growth in the city by sprucing things up, keeping it clean, and creating more after-hours opportunities. She says that attracted business there and she hopes Critz will be able to do the same thing here.

She thinks a lot of people in Johnstown feel the same way. And Bob Layo the President of the Johnstown Chamber of Commerce says she's right. He says there is a level of comfort there with the community development and economic development groups because of Crtiz’s involvement within the district. He's personally worked with Critz when he was in Congressman Murtha’s camp. Layo says Johnstown needs to focus on the companies that are doing well and help them expand. Eutin thinks Critz is the man to help Johnstown do that.

Layo says this year's Showcase for Commerce has all the same major corporations coming to Johnstown.  And the new Chairman of Defense Appropriations will be the featured speaker.
