SPRING TOWNSHIP, CENTRE COUNTY - Firefighters were quick to respond to a house fire Thursday morning at 11:10. The home is located in the 1100 block of West Springfield Drive in the Springfield Subdivision.

The blaze burned part of the home's second level, and a smoke was seen pouring out of the roof. Firefighters were able to connect to a hydrant at the foot of the home's driveway which expedited the process of putting out the blaze.

No one was injured in the fire, but neighbors did have to alert a teenage girl at home at the time about the blaze. A fire marshal will investigate the cause of the fire.
