FERGUSON TOWNSHIP, CENTRE COUNTY - Penn State announced at Friday's Board of Trustees meeting that it plans to purchase another piece of prime State College area real estate. This time it's a 1.25 acre parcel of land along the 1400 block of West College Avenue.

The property is currently owned by the Kissel Family, and PSU has offered $2.6 million for the land. The school said it is always interested when parcels contingent to the University Park campus go on the market. The school said the property could be used for future expansions.
