CAMBRIA TOWNSHIP, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Close to 600 students were honored Tuesday morning after they made a pledge to stay drug free.

Students throughout the county signed up to be apart of “Remembering Adam” at the beginning of their school year.  It’s a non-profit organization that encourages kids to stay drug free.  The students volunteer to be randomly drug tested throughout the school year.

“This is a precious gift given by these students. What more can they do for your community, their families and themselves but to stand up and say I'm going to be drug free,” said Debbie Fowler.

The program was started by Fowler after she lost her son to a heroin overdose in 1998.
