New Business, Jobs Coming to Central PA

BROOKVILLE, JEFFERSON COUNTY - A new business is moving into Jefferson County and bringing dozens of jobs into the area.

 Jefferson County officials announced that Schlumberger Technologies corp. will be moving into the old Trail Kings facility in Pine Creek Township.

This international firm specializes in oil drilling field operations.  Officials chose Jefferson County to be the regional maintenance headquarters for the anticipated rush of Marcellus Shale drilling.

Schlumberger expects to fill 51 full-time, high-paying positions over three years.

The company is already advertising, locally to hire.  Officials expect the company to be open and fully operational by July 1st.
