EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Every sheriff in Cambria County was on duty at the courthouse Tuesday for one of their busiest and most dangerous court days.

Deputies transported more than 50 inmates to and from the courthouse.  More than 200 cases were scheduled throughout the day.  Due to the high number of court appearances security was a top priority for deputies.

“Our job is to ensure the publics safety and the courthouse employees.  We know where every prisoner is at in the courthouse and have extra deputies on duty for their protection and ours,” said Sheriff Bob Kolar.

Although Kolar said that they have had busier days, they take no risks when it comes to high volume court days.
