A few bridge repairs and replacement projects begin Monday, April 26.
Route 56 Barefoot Run Bridge, Bedford County
Work on the Route 56 Barefoot Run Bridge in East and West St. Clair Townships begins Monday.
During the day travelers can expect the bridge to be down to one lane of traffic as workers begin building a temporary roadway. Once that temporary raodway is built, traffic will be shifted onto it so the replacement of the Barefoot Run Bridge can begin. Minor delays are possible.
All work on this project should be done by October.
Loretto Road Bridges Rehabilitiation Project, Cambria County
Starting Monday work will begin to rehabilitate two structures on route 1001 (Manor Drive) over the RJ Corman Railroad in Allegheny Township, Cambria County.
Traffic will be maintained by temporary signals until the project is finished in November.
According to PennDOT, District 9 will see around $47 million of federal economic recovery funds on 21 transportation projects. Those include road and bridge improvements and signal upgrades.
