Remembering the Shugars

BROCKWAY, JEFFERSON COUNTY - A community is mourning the loss of a husband and wife.

Victoria and James Wayne Shugar were murdered in their home just outside of Brockway.  A family member found their bodies on Monday afternoon at their home on Coal Tip Rd. in Snyder Township.

The Shugars owned and operated a flower shop in downtown Brockway.  They were a well-known couple in the community.

Police have not identified any suspects in the murders.

The community is mourning the loss of the couple.

A viewing is scheduled for Friday, April 16th, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home in Brockway.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, April 17th, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Moorhead United Methodist Church in Brockway.

The Shugars are survived for four sons who also live in the Brockway area.
