SNYDER TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY -  A Blair County manufacturing plant is  is line to get a big State loan to help expand operations .  The Blair County Commissioners have agreed to support the request for a $4 million  state business  development loan for the  Kristel-Diversapack Company that is located near Tyrone.

The Company started operations last July in the Jubelier Business park which is located in Snyder Township.  The firm, which produces flexible film food and package wrappers, currently has 31 employees.  The Company first moved into Blair county last year with the help of  more than $3 million dollars in state support.  With the new loan arranged through the Altoona Blair County Development Corporation,  the Company hopes to expand to three shifts, add a new ten color printing line, and eventually expand its employment at the Northern Blair County Plant to up to 150 workers.
