Possible Local Casino

Senator John Wozniak says Philly isn't doing anything with their license and he wants for the Laurel Highlands. And everyone that talked to WTAJ thinks that's a pretty good idea.
It's been more than three years since the Gaming Control Board granted two casino licenses to Philadelphia. Crews are building one casino, but there's been almost no progress on the second license.
Senator John Wozniak wants that license moved to the Cambria/Somerset County area. Wozniak is going to introduce legislation that would let the gaming control board take back the un-used Philadelphia license and the Laurel Highland area take it over. He says the move would create construction jobs immediately and about a thousand full time jobs once the casino opens.
Everyone that talked to WTAJ in Johnstown thought it would be good for the local economy. They say it would give local people something to do, and bring in dollars from outside the area.
Wozniak says it's also fairer because there are several casino projects in the eastern and western parts of the state, but nothing here in the middle. The nearest casino is 70 miles away.
