Police Investigating Deaths of Couple

PUNXSUTAWNEY, JEFFERSON COUNTY - State Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police in Troop C, DuBois and Punxsutawney released information Tuesday morning on an investigation into the deaths of a Brockway couple.

The bodies of 61-year-olds Victoria and James Shugar were found in their home at 642 Coal Tipple Road around 2:30 p.m. Monday. Investigators believe the deaths happened sometime after late Saturday afternoon.

State Police said in their news release that they will provide further details Tuesday as they become available.
