NORTHERN CAMBRIA, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- An 8-year old girl decided after seeing a commercial for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital she wanted to make a difference.

Lydia Davis told her parents that it made her ‘sad’ to see all of the kids that were sick.  With a little help from her mom and dad Lydia decided to collect Crayola Crayons and coloring books for the children.  She wanted to help make them feel better, because when she was sick coloring made her happy.

“When she is sick, she likes to color and we thought maybe they (the hospital) could use some new coloring book and crayons,” said her mom ReAnn Davis.

Lydia collected 187 coloring books and Crayola Crayons in only two weeks.  She plans on sending donations three times a year April, August, and December.

To help Lydia with her mission call 814-948-6111 and leave a message for "Lydia."
