Tax Day Less Than Week Away

HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA -- Tax Day is less than a week away. Certified Public Accountants across the state are offering some helpful tips to all those last-minute filers crunching numbers this weekend.
If you absolutely do not have time to file your taxes by April 15th, you can file an extension for six more months, but any owed money should be sent in now to avoid a penalty.
Also, remember that E-filing is the fastest way to receive your refund, while direct deposit speeds up the check even more. If your return is relatively simple, you can download free software from the IRS online at IRS.gov.
