ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Opening day rain wasn't enough to keep the Curve faithful away.

Larry and Linda Strong have been “strong” supporters of the Curve to say the least. They've been season ticket holders since the team came to town, and they say they've never missed an opening game. And we can help prove that; a WTAJ crew caught up with them at the year 2000 Curve opener.

The Strongs bought their season tickets before the stadium was even built. You'll find them in section 309 right behind home plate but high enough to see all the action.

And they started bring curve players into their home in 2000. It started when three players needed a place to stay, and 29 different players have lived with them over the years. Linda says they became part of the family. And Larry says they follow their careers even after they leave the pirates.

They're part of the booster club, help out with transportation, and Linda’s even the designated singer for the national anthem when someone can't show.

So the Strongs will keep cheering through the good times and bad. And they say they never will miss an opening game.
