HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - The Blair County Commissioners have been asked to  back a special program to help young drug offenders stay out of future trouble.  Representatives from the County's Juvenile Probation office appeared  before the County's Board of Commissioners on Tuesday  to present plans for a special grant of $24  thousand.
The money is being sought through Operation Our Town to help support the County's Juvenile Drug Court.
The Juvenile Probation Department  works very closely with Juvenile Drug Offenders and they would use this funding to provide some incentives  as  young drug suspects work their way  through the program.
If the grant is approved, about two dozen young people will be enrolled in the special drug court effort.
