I80 Tolls Rejected?

A plan to toll Interstate 80 has hit another road block.

According to The Patriot-News, the U.S. Department of Transportation has Rejected Pennsylvania's plan to toll Interstate 80.

Also according to The Patriot-News, The application would violate language in a federal transportation law that would require money from I-80 tolls to be used only for that roadway.

Governor Ed Rendell was counting on the toll revenue to fill out a more than $400 million chunk of the state's transportation budget.

The proposal to toll I-80 has been denied by the feds twice before.
