ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - The Tour De Toona series of bicycle races may be returning to Altoona this summer.

Organizers had to scale back the tournament two years ago.  In 2009, it was canceled.

Representative Rick Geist said that an aggressive campaign to attract more sponsors may be able to revive the event.  Organizers are focusing this year's Tour De Toona on the professional woman's races.  They believe this could be a key to success.

The event costs about $300,000.  Supporters say it brings millions of dollars into the local economy.
