PA State Prisons Reducing Number Of Guards

HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA  --  In a little over two months, Pennsylvania state prisons will reduce the number of guards.
  

The state Secretary of Corrections said advancements and upgrades in security technology have allowed for cuts in guard levels at 5 facilities without compromising safety.
  

State officials expect the cuts to save nearly $5-million dollars.
