Clearfield County Crash

By: Jim Carnicella
Updated: July 18, 2007
Last night around 10:30PM, three tractor trailers traveling eastbound on I-80 at mile marker 120 in Lawrence Township crashed shutting down the highway. Reports from the scene say that the first tractor trailer jack-knifed. The second truck went onto its side avoiding the crash while the third hit the first truck from behind. The road had to be shut down in order to clean up fuel and a shipment of skittles, which one truck was hauling. Two of the drivers, and one passenger of the trucks were taken to Clearfield Hospital. Their conditions have not been released. Clearfield State Police are investigating.
