Man Dies in Fire

CLEARFIELD, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - A man in fifties has died in a fire in Clearfield.
The fire started around 7:30pm Thursday along Lawrence Avenue.
Six stations responded to the structure fire.
No word on what started the fire though officials say it started in the living room.
The State Police Fire Marshal, K-9 Unit and the State Police Forensic examined the scene.
His identity has not been released.
The man's neighbor Greg Martell says he could see the flames from across the street and could hear oxygen popping. He tried to enter the trailer to save the man, but it was too hot.
"It was just a shame. It was entirely too late and there was nothing anybody could do" said Martell.
LITTLE IS LEFT OF THE TRAILER- THERE IS A HUGE HOLE IN THE LIVING ROOM WHERE POLICE SAY THE FIRE STARTED AND WHERE WITNESSES SAY THE VICTIM NORMALLY SAT. HIS BODY WAS SENT FOR AN AUTOPSY AND NAME HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED.
